Lentil Underground

Mark your calendars!  On February 21 HCG will host an event for the new book Lentil Underground by Liz Carlisle at Plymouth Congressional Church.  There will be a book signing and discussion with the author at 4pm and a potluck at 6:30.  The book examines the story of Montana farmers, David Oien, our own Jim Barngrover, and others who broke the mold and decided to grow organic lentils instead of the chemically dependent grains that American farmers had been told to grow.  It tells the story of these farmers “who have defied corporate agribusiness by launching a unique sustainable food movement.”  Don’t miss the opportunity to hear the reading, meet the author, and enjoy some great lentil dishes at the potluck!  Visit http://lentilunderground.com/ for more details about the book!
