Becoming a Volunteer Garden Manager | Information Session

Helena Community Gardens is looking for several volunteer garden managers for the 2023 gardening season. We’re looking for you! WHAT does being a Garden Manager/Assistant Garden Manager entail? – Volunteer opportunity to help facilitate community gardening at one of the 10 Helena Community Gardens. Garden Managers are the go-to leaders that help provide the tools and logistics gardeners need to be successful. The biggest task is simply communicating with the gardeners.
WHERE? – in one of the 10 Community Gardens. We are in need of 4 Garden Managers, and 4 Assistant Garden Managers – Garden Managers are needed at: Selma Held, Plymouth, Bausch and Cooney. Assistant Garden Managers are needed at: 6th Ward, Selma Held, Jubilee, and Bausch
WHO? – any level of gardening experience, learn as you go. Garden Managers need to be good communicators and organizers.
WHEN? – Must commit to 1 year at a time. April-October with heaviest commitment May to September. Training event in April with monthly garden manager meetings through summer. Optional event and educational involvement.
